Original silver medal from the Montreal 1976 Olympic Games for second place in the modern pentathlon by Pavel Lednev (1943-2010; USSR). With “Penthatlon moderne” engraving on the edge. Silver (148 grams), 6 cm with original eyelet and original chain. In the original leather wooden case (15.5x15.5x3.5 cm). --The consignor received this medal around 2000 directly from the legend of the modern pentathlon Pavel Lednev. Lednev won 7 individual and team medals from 1968 - 1980, including 2 gold medals with the USSR team in 1972 and 1980. --Medal slightly tarnished
