Original match worn shirt Italy with number 9. Worn by Carlo Ancelotti in a match of the European Football Championship 1988 or at the World Cup 1990. Shirt with traces of play (small tear at the front collar seam) Status: ACB. Short sleeved shirt; size L; FA logo sewn on; number flocked; diadora. Shirt comes from the collection of a referee who was a FIFA/UEFA observer at Euro 1988 and World Cup 1990. He received the jersey directly from Ancellotti at one of the tournaments, but cannot remember when. Italy wore these shirts at both tournaments. What is striking about Ancelotti's shirt, however, is the Italian association logo sewn on relatively high. This can be seen on Ancelotti's shirts at UEFA Euro 1988 and at the Italy versus England 3rd place match at the 1990 World Cup. There is a photo from the 3rd place match at the 1990 World Cup that suggests the tearing at the collar (for licensing reasons we cannot show the picture). Ancelotti won numerous national and international titles, including the European Champion Clubs' Cup twice as a player and the Champions League three times as a coach. In both roles, he achieved his greatest successes with AC Milan.
