Official pennant for the All-German team at the Olympic Games 1956. Olympic rings mounted and embroidered year "1956". Rear in German colours. Silk pennant with Black-and-red--and-gold silk borders and loop. 47x35 cm. Very rare piece because athletes from both the German Democratic Republic and the Federal Republic of Germany were participating in a joint team at the Summer as well as the Winter Olympics. There was neither an official FRG nor a GDR team. From the estate of a DFB official who was a member of the delegation at the Olympic Games 1956. Slightly stained.
