Original champion cup of the Tunesian FA (LTFA) for winning the football championship for Stade Gaulois Tunis in 1923, engraved "FFFA. Ligue Tunisienne de Football Association. Championnat de Tunis 1922-23. Promotion I Equipes Premieres". Silver plated, height 26.5 cm. The Tunesian FA (LTFA) was founded as a regional FA due to Tunesia then being a French colony in 1921. Since then there have been national championships played by domestic teams.There were Tunesian championships before 1921 yet only French a few French teams participated and no North African players anyway. From 1921 on the championship was called "Championat de Tunisie". Stade de Gaulle, champions of 1923, won the championship three times between 1922 and 1928. Extremely rare piece of North African football history. Unique, museum piece. Slighly tarnished, rosette on handle is missing.
