Gold medal for a first place at the Olympic Winter Games in St. Moritz 1948. „Vmes Jeux Olympiques d'hiver St.Moritz 1948". Gilt silver, hallmarked (stamped 925, weight: 100 g), Made by Huguenin, 6 cm. Medal comes from the estate of a collector of Olympic Games memorabilia who had his own private Olympic Games museum. He got this medal from a Swiss athlete. Gold rim slightly abraded, two small dents. Only 41 gold medals were awarded at the Olympic Games in St. Moritz 1948.
